1. Introduction
DomainVault ("we", "us", "our") provides portfolio management tools for domain investors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using DomainVault you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and profile photo when you sign in (including via Google).
- Portfolio data: domains, sales, offers, leads, and lease records you create or import.
- Usage data: log information, device and browser metadata, and basic analytics needed to operate the service.
- Cookies: session cookies used to keep you signed in and to remember preferences.
3. Google account data
When you sign in with Google we request your basic profile (name, email, profile picture) through standard OAuth scopes (openid, email,profile). We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Contacts. We do not sell Google user data and do not use it for advertising. Google user data is used solely to create and authenticate your DomainVault account.
4. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve DomainVault features.
- Authenticate you and secure your account.
- Send essential service notifications (e.g. payment reminders for leases).
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted processors that help us run the service (hosting, database, authentication providers) under contractual confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level security on the database, and least-privilege access for staff. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage strong, unique passwords.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children
DomainVault is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
